PRESS RELEASE

When a Christian nationalist group holds a meeting in Raleigh, Christians with a more inclusive, loving point of view want the world to know there’s room and love for everybody in many local churches.

We will celebrate the freedom of religion guaranteed in the US Constitution with a peaceful sidewalk protest rally against a meeting of the Christian nationalist group, the American Renewal Project, which is taking place at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. Here’s their Raleigh itinerary.

Leading the peaceful protest rally are Christians Against Christian Nationalism, the NC Council of Churches, Pastors for North Carolina Children, and several area churches.

When: Peaceful protest rally on Monday, Sept. 8, 5:30 pm.

Where: The public sidewalks on the northeast corner of the intersection of Glenwood and Creedmoor, below the Marriott (not on Marriott Drive). Protesters will stand with their signs — no marching! Parking generously provided by Benson Memorial United Methodist Church, 4706 Creedmoor Road.

Want to participate?: Make your signs celebrating the separation of Church and State, Freedom of Religion, etc., and join us. Bring your friends.
