WINKS Fellowship with Auburn Seminary
January 2026
Director Rev. Suzanne Parker Miller was chosen to be a WINKS Fellow through Auburn Theological Seminary for their January 2026 cohort. She spent a week in outside San Antonio, Texas at Mo-Ranch with the cohort studying the Bible Study methods of Walter Wink. We learned to engage in the stories in Scripture in new and different ways to help us apply the texts to our own lives today. The goal is to better be able to engage children in worship and the life of the congregation and help Scripture speak to us in new ways in our lives as we lead with love.
The retreat was led by Rev. Dr. Shannon Daley-Harris along with Rev. Patrick B. Reyes, PhD and Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson from Auburn Seminary.
This yearlong fellowship includes meetings with the cohort on zoom, shared work on a digital platform, and gathering again at the Heal The World Summit at Zephyr Point Conference Center in Lake Tahoe, NV in June. The WINKS Fellowship is generously funded by the Lily Endowment. Thank you to Auburn Seminary and Lily for this wonderful opportunity!
