On Sunday, August 30, 2026 Rev. Suzanne Parker Miller was the guest preacher at Cherry Point United Methodist Church in Havelock, NC. She was there to celebrate public education during their 5th Sunday Mission Service. Worship included hearing from the counselor of Havelock Middle School and Principal of Havelock High School. The offering went to needs of students at Havelock Middle School. 

Rev. Suzanne’s sermon was “The Beloved Community Of Sesame Street” and included friends Big Bird, Kermit, and Elmo joining her in the pulpit. During a Back to School Block Party, staff and students at Havelock Middle School shared prayer concerns. Their anonymous concerns were included on prayer cards that everyone received in their bulletin that morning to keep praying for throughout the year.
