Church-School Partnerships
Loving Our Neighbors by Supporting Local Public Schools
As People of Faith for Public Schools, we have the wonderful opportunity to connect with and support the local public schools in our communities. Many churches have relationships with their local public schools that include providing supplies, supporting teacher appreciation, sharing building spaces, volunteering, and so much more. We are collecting stories of the ways faith communities are supporting local schools.

Church-School Partnership Workshops
We offer workshops for groups or congregations about best practices and ways to be good partners with local public schools. We help groups name the ways they are already involved in supporting schools and provide ideas and examples of new or different ways to get involved.
Workshops include best practices, pitfalls to avoid, the importance of separation of church and state, countering Christian nationalism, and being advocates for public schools and a local, state, and federal level. They can be catered to your faith community, denomination, region, etc. to fit the needs of your group. Contact Rev. Suzanne Parker Miller, Director of Pastors for NC Children, to get your workshop scheduled. Director@PastorsForNCchildren.org or 919-346-6114.
